Registry of Legal Blindness

Up Business Enterprise Program Services to Employers Occupations Registry of Legal Blindness Vocational Rehabilitation SSIL Office Locations

The New Hampshire Department of Education, Services for Blind and Visually Impaired, is the designated State Licensing Agency that certifies NH residents as being Legally Blind. The names of Individuals who are certified as Legally Blind are then put on the Registry and are eligible for the following benefits:

Interest and Dividends Letter

Fishing License

bullet

Department of Safety Photo Identification Card

Walking Disability Placard

bullet

Verification of Blindness Letter

In order for certification to occur, an eye examination report must be completed by an ophthalmologist or optometrist. Please contact SBVI for more information.
