Services for Blind and Visually Impaired can assist individuals to:

Keep their current job

bullet

Obtain their first job, or a more appropriate job

bullet

Obtain skills needed to get a job

Services to be provided are determined by the individual, working closely with a professional Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. These services are based on an individual's needs and their vocational goal.

Rehabilitation services include, but are not limited to the following:

Job placement

bullet

Low vision assessment and training

bullet

Instruction in independent travel

bullet

Occupational skills training

bullet

Technology and rehabilitation engineering

bullet

Consultative services on ADA, job and task analysis, and reasonable job accommodations

bullet

Vocational guidance and counseling

bullet

Personal and household management

Anyone is eligible if they can provide documentation of their blindness or visual impairment through an eye report, and the eye condition is creating barriers to getting, keeping, or seeking employment.
